Health to Offer
The Health Centre at the Hub of Hope offers front-line health care to the families of the community of Los Jardines, in the slums of Pucallpa.
The Health to Offer (H2O) program was initially inaugurated as part of the Foundation’s heath-promotion mandate to address the shortage of drinkable water in the community of Manantay and others. Over the years, five freshwater wells were drilled, bringing safe and clean water to hundreds of families. But the program couldn’t stop there.
Despite clean water now being available, unhygienic conditions abound in the slums, continuing to harbour illnesses and parasitic infections. The program now focuses on tackling the community’s most pressing health needs.
